![]() So IT….is massive – the audiobook version is 45 hours in length and in print, the book is nearly 1,200 pages long so there is a commitment involved! Not knowing even where to start with IT, I will delve right in. If I had only discovered this years ago! This man has considerable literary talent, and so now I find I have a backlog to contend with. I have read every single Charles Dickens novel and I am starting to think, to my amazement, that King could be some version of an American Dickens! Shocking. I started with Christine (that demon car makes an appearance in IT). ![]() My teenage son helped me justify reading IT with the soothing “Old Stephen King books are classics now.” After becoming a Librarian in the early 2000s, I immediately expanded my world of reading, yet it still took me to 2016 to finally get to Stephen King. Back then, my self-assigned task was to stick to the classics of literature (as well as Peggy Parish’s Amelia Bedelia). ![]() ![]() As a child of the 1980s, I remember feeling too serious (and fearful) a reader to even look at a Stephen King novel. ![]()
